Hazard & Risk Course

Participants will learn how to identify, assess and control workplace hazards. The training provides practical guidance and strategies that managers and supervisors can utilise to eliminate workplace hazards.

The session will assist managers and supervisors in documenting and communicating the outcomes of hazard identification and risk assessment to others in the workplace.


Other topics covered include:


  • Interpreting the hierarchy of controls
  • Monitoring and reviewing risk assessment outcome


Duration: 4 hours

Manual Handling Course

Designed for employees involved in performing hazardous manual handling tasks, this course takes you through OHS Regulations 2007 and discuss ways to prevent and reduce the number of, and severity of, injuries associated with manual handling tasks.


The workshop also discusses the specific legal responsibilities imposed on employers, employees, designers, manufacturers and suppliers to control the risks around hazardous manual handling.


The workshop covers the following:


  • Relationship between the human body and manual handling/ergonomics
  • Legislation, standards and guidance notes relating to manual handling
  • Manual handling and ergonomic risk management process
  • Strategies for dealing with manual handling and ergonomic issues

The OH&S for Managers & Supervisors training

The OH&S for Managers and Supervisors training has the ability to run for one or two days, depending on the requirements of the client.


The content in both courses remain the same, however, the two-day course provides the opportunity for participants to apply their learnings to re-life scenarios.


This interactive course assists Managers and Supervisors at all levels to understand their contribution to the provision of workplace health and safety and organisational compliance with OH&S legislation. It is also designed to raise awareness, provide practical guidance and strategies that managers and supervisors can implement to demonstrate due diligence and compliance with OH&S law.
